Victory at Dortmund’s “Yellow Wall”

Young Michael Gavin from Kildare got to savour one of sport’s great sights when he watched his team BVB Dortmund – egged on by a packed Yellow Wall terrace – defeat SC Freiburg in the German Bundesliga. 

Michael spent six weeks in Essen, Germany receiving special proton radiotherapy and took a day out with his mum Geraldine for the big game, taking place in Europe’s third largest stadium, and paying the obligatory visit to the club shop en route! A great day, according to Geraldine:  

“Michael is such a football fan and to see today the sparkle in him was just brilliant. It will long live in our memories.“
